I was thinking of writing some philosophical post about the importance of gratitude, but I don't know how I would say that hasn't already been said. So instead, I'll just make a list of the things I'm grateful for.
I'm thankful for college. It's taught me a lot about myself (and the rest of life too). I'm thankful for the scholarship that makes it possible for me to attend that college without going broke (yet).
I'm thankful for friends who let me ride with them to my aunt and uncle's house so that I don't have to spend Thanksgiving at college. I'm thankful for my uncle, who drove two hours each way to pick me up, because my ride didn't go quite far enough. And he'll do it again on Sunday.
I'm thankful for family who are very excited for me to come home for Christmas. Especially for one sister who frequently texts me counting down the days (a little annoying after awhile, but very sweet).
Most of all, I'm thankful for another holiday coming up in a month, and for what it represents. I'm thankful that God didn't leave us where we were, but made a way for us to come to him.
